Summary: • The Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day US Gaap accounting and Statutory and Tax compliance matters. • The role requires understanding of complex accounting matters, quick problem-solving skills and strong collaboration with other finance and non-finance teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform GL accounting, reporting and month-end closing activities. • Perform manual Journals prepared and review account reconciliation performed by GBS team. • Respond to queries from local country business and others cross functional team in a timely manner. • Support statutory audit and internal audit. • Support tax compliance (corporate tax and GST/VAT) • Support tax audits and project manage the audits. • Support in providing documentation for Tax Direct and Indirect Tax litigation. • Support regional and global reporting requirements such as monthly Balance Sheet & P&L Flux analysis. • Support monthly/quarterly/annual close processes . • Ensure adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements and local rules and regulations; support strengthening of financial processes and controls • Collaborate effectively with country stakeholders and various global stakeholders including GBS. • Support on company documents and licenses updated and bank related matters. • Support local, regional, and global projects, as required. • Maintain focus on continuous process improvement opportunities including implementation of various technologies such as Workiva for Stat, One Source for VAT, Kyriba for Treasury etc., Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience. • Proven experience in a multinational environment and/or audit • Good knowledge of US GAAP and PRC GAAP • Strong analytical skills • Excellent communication skills, diplomatic, flexible and “can do” mind-set • Fluent in both written and spoken English • Strong reporting tools including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Education and/or Experience: Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily. • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or part qualified ACCA/CIMA/CPA • Ability and willingness to travel internationally as required • Experience in SAP, ARCS, Blackline, is an advantage • Additional hours at critical times (e.g., month-end) may be required. Also, and on an exceptional basis, the role may require work on public holidays |
